2025 Employee Networks Summit: Finding Common Ground, Building for the future

A look inside this year’s summit, bringing our Employee Network leads together.

 

40% of Toasters are affiliated with an Employee Network. These Networks, which are a collective of our Employee Resource Groups and Communities, are open to all employees and are dedicated to fostering belonging and championing our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at Toast.

In October, Employee Network (EN) leads across our global organization met at Toast’s Boston headquarters for our second annual Employee Networks Summit, hosted by Toast’s diversity, equity, and inclusion team. The Toasters who spearhead these grassroots networks stem from every level, department, and corner of the globe. Their mission: to connect, learn, and build for even larger impact in 2026 and beyond.

Best practices from industry leaders

We hosted industry experts from across organizations to share best practices on building effective programs, driving inclusive engagement, and creating psychological safety. Toast’s Employee Network leads put our values into action, staying hungry to build and learn, and committed to raising the bar,  as they gained new knowledge and fresh insights to advance our employee resource groups and communities.


Collaboration to strengthen networks

This summit was also a collaborative opportunity with Klaviyo’s Klaviyo Resource Group (KRG) leads. Together, we explored shared challenges, exchanged solutions, and identified new ways to build, maintain, and expand the impact of our Employee Networks. These discussions broadened our perspectives and inspired new ideas for improving and scaling our Employee Networks.


Leadership engagement and support

Chief Executive Officer Aman and executive sponsors from each ERG joined the summit to deepen alignment and strengthen partnerships. During a Q&A with attendees, Aman discussed how we can further deepen EN alignment to business priorities to ensure visibility, support, and long-term impact. 

 

The 2025 Employee Networks Summit empowered our EN leads with the alignment and insights needed to maximize their impact and strengthen their connection to business priorities for 2026 and beyond, ensuring we continue building a workplace that welcomes, engages, and empowers all Toasters.
