When you walk into Toast’s Dublin office, the first thing Toasters and non-Toasters alike notice is the general positivity exhibited by the crew. In an era of hybrid work, it is important that the office is not only a place to work, but almost a destination. At the center of that mission is Laura N., a Senior Coordinator on our WE’RE (Workplace Experience) Team at our Dublin branch.
Ever since joining Toast, Laura has focused on a clear objective: ensuring the space fosters a genuine sense of community.
While every Toast location has its own personality, Dublin’s energy is famously high-octane and welcoming. Laura notes that while Dublin stands out as one of our most beautiful locations, the true beauty lies in the "vibrant culture and the exceptional people who shape it every day."
From festive garlands to traditional touches, the office was fully transformed for St. Patrick’s Day. These festive updates remind us that our workspaces are where our unique cultures and professional lives truly blend.
While the term "Workplace Experience" is broad, for Laura’s team, the focus is specific: prioritizing the daily environment of every Toaster. "For our team, it’s all about the experience we provide and the positive vibes we bring to the table," she explained.
To celebrate the Year of the Horse, Toasters gathered to honor tradition through handcrafted art. In a hybrid world, it’s these moments of tactile creativity and connection that keep our community vibrant.
In a hybrid environment, the physical workspace needs to offer something distinct. For Laura, that comes down to building community through the small details.
"It’s about every detail—from our on-site barista to social events and spaces designed to spark connection," she shares. By focusing on these specific touchpoints, the space has become a place where spontaneous collaboration and connection happen naturally. Whether it’s making every holiday a themed celebration, or incredible meals that have become a staple of the Dublin office, the team’s priority is to ensure the office is a value-add for everyone who walks through the door.
As a company built on the hospitality industry, the WE’RE Team takes our office meals seriously. Our Dublin team’s buffet game is officially next-level, proving that the best ideas often start over a plate of great food.
To truly understand the "flavor" of the Dublin office, Laura was easily the best person to ask. According to her, if the office was a specific meal, it would be a quintessential Irish classic: The King Crisp Sandwich.
Made with Brennan’s bread, a generous layer of Kerrygold butter, and King Crisps (though some might say Tayto!), it’s the perfect metaphor for our Dublin office: unpretentious, fueled by local favorites, and best enjoyed when the whole team is together.
*We love any chance for a great bread pun
