Technical Account Manager - Enterprise
It goes without saying that the National Restaurant Association Show this year was special. After years of not traveling and seeing customers in person, I was reminded of the hope and passion that still fuels the restaurant industry, and this event showed me it still burns brighter than ever. Everyone from industry start-ups to industry titans came together to showcase their innovations for the restaurant community. Toast most certainly did not disappoint.
Toasters from all across the U.S. converged in Chicago alongside restaurant operators from all across the world. Toast had representation from Sales, Marketing, Restaurant Success, and Customer Care, all showcasing how we work #bettertogether to drive innovation, and bring our mission to life.
In Toast’s main booth, our new 3.0 POS design, with an emphasis on dark mode, was on full display. Our second booth focused on the QSR experience that received raving feedback. We also showcased the new features for FSRs with the ability to pinch-zoom on the table map to see critical details such as total time spent at the table, number of guests, and server information. Customers who stopped by the booth shared that it was great to see our products in action, compared to a Zoom demo.
At the event, we had the opportunity to meet with current Toast customers, where stories were told, connections were made, and laughs were had. But, most importantly, as a Technical Account Manager in the enterprise space, I left with new memories and new friends in this growing community.
In the end, the months of planning by our fabulous events team were all worthwhile. Many current and future customers cycled through our booths for demos and swag or to say hi to the person they usually communicate with on the other end of the computer screen. Their passion and hopefulness for the future reminded me why I love being a Toaster. Amazing experiences like the National Restaurant Association Show are vital to help our current and future customers do what they love, and thrive.
