Toast Careers
Mi Gente, our employee resource group for Hispanic and Latinx Toasters and their allies, is bringing the Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations to Toast! Throughout the month, all Toasters have been invited to honor the rich traditions and profound contributions of Latinx and Hispanic communities.
This year's theme is "Sabor y Comunidad: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage, One Toast at a Time.” Sabor celebrates the richness of food traditions, bold flavors, and connection found over shared meals. Comunidad honors the resilience and compassion found within the Hispanic/ Latinx communities, and the importance of uplifting one another.

“My Latin culture helps me assist our Emerging Markets customers. By understanding their culture and needs, and bonding over our similarities, I am able to relate better to them and build healthy relationships! Toasters can support this community during this month and beyond by trying out a Latin/Hispanic restaurant in your community. Help support their business and learn more about their culture and flavors!” - Laura B., Sales Coordinator

“For me ‘sabor y comunidad’ means leading with authenticity, warmth, and connection. I try to bring that mindset into my work by building relationships rooted in trust, celebrating differences, and always finding ways to collaborate with empathy. Whether it’s in team projects or cross-functional partnerships, I aim to make others feel welcomed and included, just like how family and community gatherings feel back home. That sense of belonging is what drives me to contribute my best every day.” - Maria V.R. - Customer Marketing Analytics Manager

“Having a community in Ireland changed everything for me. When I lived back home in Brazil, I never realized how much we take for granted the safety net of having family and lifelong friends nearby. Even if you’re not in constant contact, you know they’re there for you when you need them. Moving to a completely different continent with no family around meant starting from scratch. That experience made me truly value every new connection I built, especially in those first few months. The friends I’ve made here have become an essential part of my life; they are my extended family. Today, I feel at home in Ireland because of them. And through Mi Gente, I hope to be that familiar face or helping hand for others, the kind of support that made all the difference for me when I first arrived on this island.” - Gabriela I., Software Engineer

“For me, ‘sabor y comunidad’ means bringing warmth and authenticity. I try to create a friendly, collaborative environment where people feel comfortable sharing ideas and working together. Just like in our culture, food brings people together, I think collaboration does the same at work.” - Maria G.C., Software Engineer II

“For me, bringing the spirit of ‘sabor y comunidad’ to my work at Toast means leading with warmth, energy, and authenticity in everything I do. Sabor is about flavor and joy—it’s showing up with passion, celebrating wins, and bringing creativity into the way I collaborate with my team and support customers. Comunidad is about connection—it’s making sure people feel included, supported, and valued, whether that’s through mentoring, building relationships, or simply being present for others. Together, those two values guide me to not just focus on the work itself, but on the people behind it. They remind me that success comes from collaboration, empathy, and bringing our full selves to the table.” - Jennifer P., Multilingual Onboarding Manager
