Toast is looking for a  Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Help Center engineering team. At Toast, we’re on a mission to make restaurants more successful, and that includes making it easy for them to get the help they need, fast. The Help Center team builds the tools and experiences that empower customers to find answers independently, right when they need them. About this roll* (Responsibilities)

  • Build and maintain scalable full stack web applications that power the Toast support platform
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Customer Care teams to create intuitive and effective self-service experiences
  • Contribute to personalised and intelligent support journeys that guide users to the right solutions faster
  • Participate in design and architectural discussions to ensure we’re building the right things the right way
  • Review code, mentor peers, and advocate for high-quality, maintainable software
  • Stay curious - Dig into data, talk to Care, and look for ways to continuously improve the digital support experience

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • 6+ years experience as a full stack software engineer
  • Deep experience building and maintaining systems using Kotlin or Java
  • Strong proficiency with Javascript/Typescript and ReactJS
  • Proven track record of designing and leading development of scalable, performant systems
  • Experience owning complex features or projects end-to-end across the stack
  • Ability to mentor and up-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance
  • Passionate about delivering great user experiences and building products that make a difference

**This is a hybrid role, requiring two days in the office per week**
