We will provide you with a computer that will satisfy your job requirements. If you are remote or hybrid in the U.S. or Ireland, we also offer a one-time stipend to help you build your home office, which can go toward additional equipment.
At Toast, we firmly believe in an employee choice model, while ensuring that you are in an environment that allows your role to deliver on our mission and collaborate with your peers successfully. Some roles do require Toasters to be in a designated workplace, however if your role does not, we encourage you to work with your manager to decide what's best for you.
It can be discussed if the position requires it.
It varies depending on the role. If you have questions pertaining to your specific situation, please reach out to your recruiter.
Our culture is driven, collaborative, inclusive, and fun. We're inspired by the uniqueness that we all bring to the table and are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects our customer community.
We are now a team of more than 3,000 Toasters globally. We currently have Toasters in the US, Canada, Ireland, the UK, and India.
We foster an environment where all Toasters can learn, grow, and reach their maximum potential- personally and professionally. Our People Success, Learning & Development, and Enablement teams are dedicated to providing learning tools, resources, and training that helps Toasters map their career journeys and grow. Approximately 20% of our open roles are filled by internal candidates.
We aim to bake inclusive principles into our practices, equity into our designs, embrace unique identities, and leverage the strength of our diversity at Toast to achieve the best results. The restaurant industry is one of the most diverse industries and we embrace that diversity by encouraging it within our company. This focus provides equitable opportunities for all Toasters and our customers alike. By encouraging diversity of perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences, we are able to bring a unique and holistic approach to the challenges we are solving.
The candidate process can vary a bit between roles, to ensure the interview experience fully assesses the needs of the role. Typically, you can expect something like this: After you submit your application, if the role looks like a good match to your skill set, a recruiter will reach out to schedule a phone interview. You will then progress to a hiring manager interview (conducted via Zoom or phone) or a job-relevant assessment. After that, you will typically participate in a panel interview via Zoom where you will get to meet some of the team members you would be working with. In some processes, a case study may also be required at this step. Post panel interview, a decision will be made and the recruiter will follow up with you. See below for a look at our candidate process.
