Are you bready*?

Toast is looking for a highly motivated Manager of Enterprise Billing & Collections to oversee the daily operations of our enterprise customer portfolio. Collaborating across multiple Toast groups, such as customer care, enterprise, and restaurant success, your team will work together to establish best practices in billing and collections. This will involve designing processes, defining business requirements, and continually seeking creative ways to improve operations. Your team's efforts will directly impact both our internal stakeholders and end-customers, and play a vital role in scaling our business efficiently and effectively. 

About this roll*:

  • Provide hands-on support in managing daily cases, adopting a proactive approach to resolve issues promptly.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a billing and collections team, offering guidance, coaching, and constructive performance feedback.
  • Establish performance goals, track individual and team progress, and implement strategies to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement effective billing and collections strategies, including efficient workflows and collections tactics to maximize cash flow, minimize default rates, and ensure compliance with program policies.
  • Analyze data and monitor trends to identify areas for improvement, adapting strategies to changing market conditions and customer behaviors.
  • Handle customer escalations and complaints with empathy and professionalism, aiming to maintain positive relationships.
  • Identify inefficient processes and propose innovative solutions to enhance billing and collections performance, streamlining operations and driving continuous improvement.

Do you have the right ingredients*?

  • 3+ years of experience in people management.
  • 6+ in technology or financial services, focusing on billing and collections for enterprise clients.
  • In-depth understanding of billing and collections, including compliance and industry best practices.
  • Proven leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and reporting data using Excel, data visualization software, and other tools.
  • Adept at handling ambiguity, adapting to changing priorities, working independently, and making well-informed decisions under pressure.
  • Results-oriented approach with a history of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Experience working with NetSuite and Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with the restaurant industry and customer-facing interactions is a plus.

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.
Pay Range
$88,000—$141,000 USD
