Position OverviewToast is seeking a Payments Operations Analyst I to support our rapidly growing payments business. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for the Sales team, serving as the Payments Pricing subject matter expert. You’ll handle custom pricing requests, conduct complex card processing analyses, advise on deal pricing strategies, and maintain strong, professional communication with sales representatives. Additionally, you will contribute to strategic projects, escalate issues as necessary, and track operational metrics for departmental leadership. Daily tools will include Excel, SQL, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
Key Responsibilities- Develop expertise in card processing pricing, including market strategies, interchange fees, network fees, and other processing fees.- Conduct detailed payment pricing analyses for new business opportunities, setting rates that directly impact Toast’s revenue.- Serve as a subject matter expert for Toast’s payment solutions, advising the Sales team on pricing and support strategies.- Oversee and improve operational processes that influence Toast Payments.- Collaborate with Sales Enablement to provide educational support on Payments.- Optimize internal business operations to ensure scalability and efficiency.- Use Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL for daily operations.
Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.- 1-3 years of experience in an analytical or operations role.- Intermediate skills in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to interpret financial models.- Background in customer service or sales support.- Strong organizational skills, time management, and verbal/written communication.- Detail-oriented with robust problem-solving skills.- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.- Capacity to deliver high-quality analysis within tight deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs).- Analytical mindset with an inquisitive approach to problem-solving.
Bonus Qualifications- Experience in a high-growth tech company.- Familiarity with data analysis programming languages.- Experience in the credit card processing industry.- Proficiency in Salesforce.
