Toast Careers
We recently asked a few members of the Ireland team to tell us a little bit more about their work and the culture in Toast’s Dublin office. Check out their responses below!
“I love food. I love restaurants, and I love going out to them. I've always liked learning about new business areas and it’s been interesting to see how restaurants are run and all the difficulties that we can help solve for them and make life easier for them.” Paddy O., Principal Software Engineer

“My team is laying some of the technical foundations that Toast needs for going global. That includes setting up multi-currencies, enabling different types of languages, and even the onboarding process.” Conor S., Engineering Manager I

“I am a living example of how you can grow with Toast, because I joined as a new grad right after getting my master's degree. I think I've grown so much. I started with working as a back-end developer, and then as the needs of the team were shifting, I also enrolled in the front-end boot camp to also become a front-end asset for the team. Now I work as a full-stack engineer. It's just been a great journey so far. I think that at Toast, you really have a chance to work with managers and discuss your career goals. Your voice is being heard and your impact is acknowledged, and that reflects on your career.” Maria G., Software Engineer II

“Driven by purpose is one of our core values. I think purpose will guide us to the place we want to be, and it’s important to me that we’re driven by data.” Yanjun W., Software Engineer II

“There’s definitely a culture of knowledge sharing and learning a lot from those around you, both horizontally and vertically. Everyone's there to support one another. Specifically here in Ireland, we've so many new engineering teams and we’re working to figure out what we can do together.” Jillian B., Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead Manager

A picture’s worth a thousand words! Take a look at what the team’s been up to:
Through Toast.org, Toasters in Ireland regularly volunteer with the Airfield Estate.
Each October, the Ireland team participates in a little friendly competition with a step challenge. Toasters are divided into teams and find creative ways to get in some extra steps!
Many Toasters and their families came together to march in the Dublin Pride Parade.
ToastHer, our Toast Community for women, recently hosted an event at our Dublin office, focused on career growth in tech. It was an evening filled with engaging discussions, valuable networking opportunities, and of course, delicious refreshments.
*We love any chance for a great bread pun
