We’re excited to celebrate the opening of our new Toast office in Toronto!
In 2022, we introduced the power of Toast to the Canadian hospitality industry. Since then, the team has grown across many departments, including engineering, product, design, sales, onboarding, customer success, people, and more.
With this growth, we were ready for a larger space that will better accommodate our team and encourage collaboration. We even added a demo room, giving us the opportunity to welcome customers into our office and show them all the ways Toast can empower local businesses. Located on King Street, just steps away from King Station, the new office is in a central downtown location with a vibrant social scene. Our company values are proudly displayed in the space, rooting us in our mission and purpose.
Opening day began with a warm welcome from our Workplace Experience team, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony with Ana M., VP, International, Austin L., RVP of International Sales, and Shawn G., Director, Talent Operations, Experience. Leaders shared a few words reflecting on this exciting milestone and recognizing the dedication Toronto Toasters have brought to bringing our mission to life.
“Our new Toronto office represents just how important the Canadian market has become to Toast International, and is a testament to the early success we’ve seen here,” shared Austin L. “In just three years, our growth has been extraordinary. This space gives our teams a central home base to collaborate, innovate, and scale even faster, and is the foundation for a much bigger growth story ahead. We’re just getting started!”
Employees enjoyed a delicious catered lunch from a local customer before diving into a volunteer event with Toast.org. Participants put together snack packs for the Allan Garden’s Food Bank, whose mission is to provide nutritious food in a safe and compassionate environment for community members facing food insecurity and poverty. This event was particularly meaningful, as it aligns with Toast’s annual Season of Giving campaign, a global volunteer event designed to bring together the strength of Toast’s people, products, and philanthropy to support organizations addressing hunger and food insecurity.
“Something that has impressed me from day one is the immense pride our team has in being 'Canada's Toasters.' We have a truly special community here, and this new office is a celebration of them—a space where they can continue to grow, collaborate, and deliver for the Canadian restaurant community,” shared Shawn G..
The opening of this new space was a great opportunity to pause and reflect on all of the reasons Toast is a great place to work, in both Canada and around the world. The team’s dedication, drive, and passion shines through in all that they do, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
