Toast is thrilled to announce the opening of our first New York City office! After years of supporting remote employees in NYC, we are excited to create a purposeful, unique space where Toasters can gather.
“My team and I were really excited by the announcement that Toast would be opening its first office in New York City,” reflected Mark C., District Sales Manager. “From the outset, the office has fostered meaningful cross-departmental connections, which is what excites me most. Gaining insight into how other teams contribute to Toast’s continued growth and support of our customers has been incredibly valuable. The informal, day-to-day interactions with colleagues across the business help strengthen relationships and truly bring the Toast value of ‘We’re One Team’ to life.”
Located in Flatiron, steps from Union Square’s convenient subway station and popular restaurants, the office was designed with Toasters and our customers in mind. We have an array of meeting spaces, from open-concept areas to soundproofed phone booths, and a fully stocked kitchen to keep teams fueled throughout the day. We also have a demo room that showcases the latest and greatest in Toast technology, so local customers and prospects can come in to see all that we have to offer.
“After years of tracking down Toasters at coffee shops and coworking spaces, it’s great to have a dedicated space where we can come together in person! I’ve already made new connections and been able to dream up new ways to collaborate with Toasters I’ve met in the office and, perhaps most importantly, Flatiron has some of the most perfect lunch options,” said Emily B., PR and Communications Senior Manager.
The opening of the office was a three day event with catered food from local customers, a ribbon cutting ceremony with leaders, and social hours where Toasters could get to know their teammates. We also hosted a volunteer event with City Harvest. Our goal was to pack 300 pounds worth of snack packs for neighbors in need, but Toasters exceeded this and packed almost 350 pounds. Over 100 packs were filled with nourishing snacks and beverages!
"I am so excited that we now have an office for my team, Toast IQ, to meet other Toasters and collaborate! Given New York is arguably the hospitality capital of the US, having this office will be a game-changer for attracting customers and top talent,” shared Sonora B., Director of Product. “ I'm personally already seeing a massive positive impact of working alongside my other colleagues and learning about other parts of the organization every day."
We are looking forward to this next chapter in New York City, and we can’t wait to continue to welcome Toasters from NYC, New Jersey, and around the world into this space.
