To celebrate, we asked our croutons (the Toasty name for children) what they think their parents actually do at Toast. Introducing… Kids Say the Darndest Things: Toast Edition!

When we think about growing Toast’s culture, it stretches beyond what employees experience during the work day. We want employees and their families to be proud to say that they’re part of the Toast community. We have carefully curated benefits packages and programs that support our parents both inside and outside of work. Some benefits we’re proud to offer our US employees include:

• Generous parental leave programs: Toast offers 16 weeks of paid parental leave for both birthing and non-birthing parents, including adoption and fostering.
• Flexible PTO: Life happens and we want you to live it! You won’t have to worry about dipping into a limited vacation bank if a sudden school closure makes your office a playroom for the day, if you're in need of a "me" day, or if you're looking to unplug on a family vacation.
• Carrot Fertility: Our partnership offers inclusive fertility and family-forming benefits that cover all paths to parenthood — adoption, gestational carrier arrangements (commonly referred to as surrogacy), fertility treatments, pregnancy, and more. Carrot provides resources and financial assistance to make family-forming more accessible.
• Care@Work: The program includes up to 15 days of subsidized backup care for adults or children. When there’s a disruption in usual care plans, Toasters don’t need to panic. They’re able to quickly and easily be matched with a care provider in their area, all through Toast’s partnership.
• Toast Parents: Toast Communities, commonly known as Employee Resource Groups, are places for Toasters to come together. Our Parents Community gives employees a safe space to talk about parenthood, which includes asking questions, sharing advice, and of course, laughing over the wild things our croutons get into.
