I came to Toast in the middle of the pandemic and it was a pivotal time for major changes to our industry. Through my work, I’m able to use our technology to create solutions that will set our customers up for success. As human beings, our fondest memories of celebrating, socializing, and tasting life itself happens in the very places we eat and drink together – it’s really exciting for me to be able to contribute to this through my work. When you feel a certain way about a hospitality experience, it’s something you don’t forget and you want to bring friends and family to experience that same joy.

 

I get the opportunity to share Toast with restaurants in the wonderful city I grew up in, San Francisco, and feel like I'm making a real impact every day by showing the value technology can bring to the interconnectedness between the restaurateur, worker, and guest experiences. 

 


Since joining, I’ve been able to build a strong network here. My team encourages and motivates me to do my best work and challenges me to grow. Toast Communities- also known as Employee Resource Groups- allow me to thrive as my authentic self, in and outside of work. Currently, I'm part of Drye (for sober Toasters), Multigrain (for LGBTQIA+ Toasters), and Bay Area Toaster Communities. For the first time, I don't feel invisible for being sober, proud, or confined to my region. I love finding communities, and Toast is built on the reality that technology should be human-centered.

 


 

 


Prior to joining Toast, I sold a variety of products- HR technology solutions, a digital marketing and music platform for restaurant chains, casinos, and hotels, and a patient engagement platform for doctors’ offices. I can honestly say that, in under two years,  I've grown more with Toast than I have in the last decade merely just "selling.” 


My favorite part about selling at Toast is that I genuinely believe in our product. Not only do I know that our product is well-built and that we have a strong go-to-market strategy, but I can also promise our customers that we are dedicated to seeing their businesses thrive.

 

Our success is tied to their success, and this interdependence allows me to go out into the field everyday knowing that I’ll do everything I can to empower my customers. 

 

Without this kind of integrity backing my work and product, I don't think I would have been able to perform at Toast’s high standards. 

 


 

 


To me, being "Toasty" has been about being real with my customers, team, and my personal relationships more than anything else. Thanks to our world-class enablement team,  I am able to bring the Toast values of humility, empathy, and teamwork to help our customers change for the better.
