We recently asked a few members of the Chennai team to tell us a little bit more about their work and the culture in Toast’s Chennai office. Check out their responses below!

What interested you in an opportunity to work at Toast?

I always wanted to create an impact on people's lives through my work. At Toast, every code that we write is impacting the lives of the owners and employees of the restaurants.

Ilangeeren K. - Senior Software Engineer

In your role at Toast, what challenges are you helping solve and what skills are you growing? 

Part of my job in product management is to understand the voice of the customer. I do customer interviews, ask open ended questions, and then narrow it down to make specific suggestions.

Sunil M. - Principal Product Manager

How do you see your career growing at Toast? 

I easily get inspired by fellow Toasters to learn new things. We have the opportunity to learn new technologies and lead our teams, which increases our leadership qualities. This will help me achieve more in my career.

I love Toast because here we work as one team. We work together and learn together. We solve problems together.

In honor of Earth Day, members of the Chennai team each received a sapling to take home!

Toasters formed a Intellion Futsal League team this year in Chennai. Go team!

Toasters are foodies! The Finance team recently came together for a lunch outing, which was a great opportunity to enjoy delicious food and connect with other members of the team in person.

This year, the Chennai office hosted a celebration in honor of Tamil Puthandu.

Our Chennai team knows how to bring some friendly competition to the office! We recently unveiled a recreation area in our office, where Toasters can play video games, engage with teammates from across the business, and relax!

The team packed over 200 bags of school supplies for students at a local government school, in partnership with Toast.org, our philanthropic branch.
